Photographs of parks in Tokyo. Shot twice a day in day and night at the exactly the same spot, under the same

conditions (shutter speed, focus), with the two images then superimposed on one another. Influenced by French

anthropologist Marc Augé’s idea of non-places, in this work Yamada creates landscapes that can only exist in

image.
